2009 元旦前夕的啓示....

在2006年，位於美國科羅拉多州的公立高中Arapahoe新學期開始的時候，該校科技中心的負責人Karl Fisch 為老師們製作一套投影片，配上音樂之後，取名為「Did you know?」，用來解說一下未來教育界的技術發展和將要面對的挑戰。兩年來，這投影片己不斷修正和引起很大的迴響，深信對每一位生活在極度資訊化的網友，都能面對高速演變的社會文化，和接受末來的挑戰。

充滿夢想的白色聖誕....

猶記得在1996年中，筆者剛登陸温哥華，卻立即要面對失業的問題，內心的鬥爭，真是有苦難言。幸好在當年12月26日凌晨，上天降下了一場大雪，令整個低陸平原的交通陷於癱瘓，帶來一個充滿夢想的白色聖誕，也同時啓發了筆者早年的夢想，全面投入互聯網的空間，開發個人的網上事業，才解决了生活的問題。

今年的聖誕也是要再遇上一場極嚴寒的風雪，在此期盼所有正面對困境的温哥華好友，待大風雪過後，都能為生活開創新的一頁，加油！！

為了讓 HappyTutor 的網友在圖書館，Coffee Cafe 或家中使用無線上網收發電郵更具安全性。我們已將電郵(eMail)，日曆(Calendar) 和 Google 文件、試算表以及簡報製作(Docs)等全面改用安全度最高的 SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) 技術，使用時便會察覺網址改為黄色(HTTPS)了。

設定的步驟如下：

1)按此下載 Gmail 語音和視訊即時通訊外掛程式(plug-in)，關閉所有瀏覽器視窗，然後安裝此外掛程式。
2)登入 Gmail 或 HappyTutor 的電郵。
3)在 [即時通訊] 區段(chat section)選取要進行通話的聯絡人。 您可以與名稱旁有相機圖示的聯絡人進行語音或視訊通話，只要按一下 [視訊及更多功能](Video & more)即可。即使您的好友沒有 Web Cam，大家也可以進行語音或單向視訊通話，非常簡單易用。
